Members of Troop 164 in Yorktown recently gathered for their March Court of Honor, along with Scout Master Dr. Robert Haims. The scouts received recognition for their rank advancement, merit badges, and service to the community. Yorktown councilman Vishnu Patel spoke about the importance of community service and said that scouting teaches leadership and survival skills. Robert Andrew Merson has fulfilled requirements for his Eagle Scout rank. His Eagle ceremony will be held on April 13 at the Saint Lutheran Church in Yorktown. Gil Efrain Seda has also fulfilled his Eagle Scout rank requirements and will officially become an Eagle Scout on April 20 at the Saint Lutheran Church.
