Two Students Suffer Minor Injuries in Yorktown Bus Incident

The children were taken to the Hudson Valley Hospital Center as a precaution.

Two students suffered minor injuries Monday morning when a school bus ran over a large rock and caused several students to be jarred from their seating, Yorktown police said.

The school bus was carrying children to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School in Shrub Oak around 10 a.m. Monday morning. When the bus, which was traveling on Beaver Drive located off of Route 132, made a right turn onto Princeton Road, it ran over a large rock.

The impact of running over the rock, which was located at this intersection on the right side of the road, caused several students to be jarred from their seating, Yorktown Police Lt. Soravilla told Patch.
