Monday, August 30

Tuesday, August 31

Three women were announced to be ambassadors for the annual Support-A-Walk in October. Tuesday was your last chance to vote for Guiding Eyes for the Blinds' Heeling Autism program in the running to receive a $250,000 in grants from Pepsi. Wednesday, September 1

The Yorktown Teen Center members got to go to a Mets game, which was donated to them thanks through the connections of former Yankees director of media relations and Yorktown resident Rick Cerrone. A one-year-old fell in a New City pool and a 911 dispatcher helped the mother bring the child back to life. Read this amazing story by New City Patch editor William Demarest. The town board discussed the auctions of town owned properties during their brief special meeting.

We had a review of the Yorktown boys soccer for the upcoming season. Flu vaccines are in plentiful supply this year, and new federal recommendation says everyone over the age of six months should receive the vaccine. Friday, September 3
