Winds Knocks Out Power in Parts of Yorktown

Con Edison expects power to be restored to those affected by 6 p.m. today.

About 179 Yorktown Con Edison customers are without power as of 9:38 a.m. this morning, according to the company's website. Con Edison expects power to be restored to those affected by 6 p.m. today.

The overnight storm brought down trees and caused flooding in parts of the region.

This morning, the New York State Department of Transportation noted a closing on the Taconic State Parkway between Stevens Avenue and Commerce Street due to flooding. The Saw Mill River Parkway between exits 27 and 30 in the Mount Pleasant/Pleasantville area is also reportedly still closed due to flooding.
