Yorktown Cops: Man Stops in Middle of Road, Charged with DWI
German Rodriguez was charged with drunk driving, a misdemeanor; aggravated drunk driving, also a misdemeanor; as well as impeding traffic, a traffic violation.

Yorktown police charged a 45-year-old Brooklyn man for drunk driving after they found him in his parked car in the middle of the road.
German Rodriguez had stopped his vehicle in the middle of the road impeding traffic on March 16 at about 5:15 a.m. on Commerce Street, police said.
Investigation revealed he had been driving while drunk. Rodriguez submitted a breath test to determine his blood alcohol content, which allegedly showed it being .18 percent or greater, police said.

Rodriguez was released to a friend after posting $300 bail. He is to appear in Yorktown Town Court on April 18.
