Yorktown Heights Residents Elected to SUNY Oneonta Student Association

Residents Joseph Kovaly and Ariana Reinhertz were elected to the school's Student Association as senators.

A total of 27 students was elected this spring to Student Association positions for the 2016-2017 academic year at SUNY Oneonta. Students are elected to Student Association positions by their peers in the student body. Elections for executive board positions were held April 7-8, and senators and judicial officers were elected April 14-15.

Joseph Kovaly and Ariana Reinhertz of Yorktown Heights were elected as senators.

The Student Association of SUNY Oneonta is a government created by the students and to serve the students. Its mission is to be a firm advocate for student rights, a body of knowledge of campus services, a torch-bearer to carry on traditions and a helping hand, financially, to student organizations. The Student Association is classified as a $1.3 million 501c3 corporation that funds more than 100 clubs and organizations on campus.
