Yorktown Man Charged with Stealing $898 Worth of Electronics

Daniel J. Weber, who was incarcerated at the Putnam County Jail on unrelated charges, was arrested on March 19 after it was discovered there was an arrest warrant for him.

A 34-year-old Yorktown man is due in court next month to answer charges that he stole nearly $900 worth of electronics from Sears, police said.

Police said they were called to Sears on Jan. 17 to investigate a larceny complaint. Police revealed Weber had left the store without paying for electronics valued at $898.

The man was charged with petty larceny, a misdemeanor. 

Weber was arraigned before Yorktown Justice Sal Lagonia, who set bail at $1,000. He was returned to the Putnam County Jail and was scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on April 2.
