Yorktown Native Named 'Most Versatile Athlete' on Men's Lacrosse Team
Brendan Brunelle, a senior at Marist College, was a standout lacrosse, basketball and football player in Yorktown.
He is not only called the "most versatile" athlete on the Marist Men's Lacrosse Team, Yorktown native Brendan Brunelle is also known for his hitting ability, game sense, and confidence that make him one of the better defensemen on the Red Foxes, according to a college blog post by Cody Hanlon who interviewed Brunelle.
Brunelle, 21, grew up in Yorktown Heights where he was captain of the Yorktown High School football team and was a standout lacrosse and basketball player. His older brother Timmy and sister Kelly played sports as well.
"I would watch their games growing up, so it was natural for me to want to compete," he said in the interview with Hanlon.

The Marist College senior is being described as one of the most powerful players on the team.
"His teammates look up to him because he never gets rattled on the field and leads by example. He has been leading the teams Man Down Unit for the past three seasons and looks to continue to impress for his senior year," Hanlon wrote in his blog post.

Off the field, Brunelle is known to be a comedian.
"He is a laid back guy that appreciates the simple things in life. Friends and family admire him for sense of humor, honesty, loyalty, and how he is one of the best friends a person can have," according to the blog.
