Yorktown Police Find Two Men in Park After Closing, One in Possession of Pot
A 19-year-old Mohegan Lake man and a 22-year-old Putnam Valley man are due in court next month to answer charges of staying in a town park after dark.

A 19-year-old Mohegan Lake man and a 22-year-old Putnam Valley man are due in court next month to answer charges of staying in a town park after dark, Yorktown police said.
In addition, police said the Mohegan Lake man was in possession of marijuana. He was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation; and remaining in a park after closing, town code violation.
The Putnam Valley man was charged with remaining in a park after closing, town code violation.

After the March 11 incident at the Shrub Oak Park, the two men were transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released without bail.
They were scheduled to appear in court for arraignment on April 16. The 19-year-old is scheduled to appear in court again on April 23 for the unlawful possession of marijuana charge.
