Yorktown Teen Center Holds 10th Open Mic Night
Teens from Yorktown and the surrounding areas performed mostly in front of their peers.
Teens performed in front of their peers during the 's Open Mic night on Friday, Feb. 4. This was the 10th open mic, sponsored by the Center and the Justin Veatch Fund.

"The atmosphere of the kids here is wonderful," Teen Center director Helena Rodriquez said. "They love each other. This is a positive place. The kids are here to listen to the music and enjoy themselves."

The line-up included Claire Johanson, Ariana Aboulafia, Zerena Lupo, Amber and Aiyana Lewis, Spencer Cohen, Emma Katherine, Kate Nicastri (The Yorktones), Tim George and Matt Nelligan, Dan Coutant (special guest), Mark McIntyre (Us), Corey Gardner (Yesterday’s Trash), Jake Fineman (Plan 9) and Melissa Frabotta.
