1 Injured In Possible Road Rage Shooting South Charlotte: Report
Pineville Police said the suspect and victim were both identified following the shooting near Park Road and Pineville-Matthews Road.
CHARLOTTE, NC — A police investigation is underway in Pineville after a person was shot in what authorities believe could be a road rage incident, according to reports.
The shooting occurred south of Charlotte, near Park Road and Highway 51/Pineville-Matthews Road around 9:30 a.m., WSOC reported. Several businesses were also hit by rounds during the shooting, but no injuries were reported, police told the station.
"One person shot, non-critical and both parties involved have been identified," Pineville Police said.

Police said the victim drove themselves to Atrium Health Pineville, and was transported to a hospital in Charlotte for surgery, and is expected to recover, WSOC said.
The incident marks the second shooting in Pineville in less than a week. On May 2, two men were injured when they shot each other during a fight inside Carolina Place Mall in Pineville, prompting an evacuation.
