2 Men Charged After Carolina Place Mall Shooting In Pineville
Both men were injured in the shooting Saturday inside Carolina Place Mall, Pineville Police Department said.
CHARLOTTE, NC — Two men have charged after police said they shot each other during a fight inside Carolina Place Mall in Pineville over the weekend.
Following the May 2 incident inside the suburban Charlotte mall, Pineville Police Department obtained arrest warrants for Kevion Donshare Harris, 32, and Jamie G'Avantay Williams, 24, on both possession of firearm by convicted felon and assault with deadly weapon with intent to kill or inflict serious injury charges.
"Both individuals shot one another after an altercation inside the mall, leading to injuries for both of them," PPD said. "At this time they are both recovering from their injuries at area hospitals."

Metro first responders, including Pineville police, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department and fire departments responded to the mall to assist with evacuation following the shooting, which was the second since December, The Charlotte Observer reported.
