Missing 8-Year-Old Charlotte Girl Located, Reunited With Family
Charlotte police asked for the community's help locating Shakiah Bohanan, 8, who had been missing since 10 a.m. Thursday.

CHARLOTTE, NC — A missing 8-year-old girl who was reported missing after she walked away from her south Charlotte home Thursday morning has been located.
According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, Shakiah Bohanan voluntarily left her home on Lakemist Drive around 10 a.m.
"She was last seen wearing a blue polo shirt, navy blue pants, and blue shoes, CMPD said. "Bohanan has blue beads in her hair and is also in possession of a pink and purple book bag with a lunch box."

Shortly before 3:30 p.m., police said the girl had been found.
"Shakiah has been safely located and reunited with her family," CMPD said.
