CHARLOTTE, NC – Labor Day 2021 will be celebrated on Monday, Sept. 6, marking the unofficial end of summer.
While most schools, banks and government offices will be closed in observance of the holiday, many businesses and some services will be operational as usual.

- Mecklenburg County Government Offices and Agencies: closed
- Federal Government Offices: closed
- North Carolina State Government Offices: closed
- North Carolina Court system: closed
- Schools and Administrative Offices: closed
- U.S. Post Office: Closed
- Banks: Closed
- Retail stores: It varies. A store may be closed or may have shortened hours on Monday. Call ahead
- Grocery stores: Open Monday, but many stores have shortened hours.
