• Dec. 26 Community News (reflector.com) — Greenville residents have a full slate of early 2026 events, from Noon Years Eve at Five Points Plaza to First Day Hikes at River Park North and Wildwood Park. You can also join a free ReStart 5K, chamber networking and economic forecast events, an MLK tribute breakfast, and a major volunteer expo at the Greenville Convention Center.
   

• Greenville first responders continue to provide service during Christmas (witn.com) — Greenville Fire/Rescue crews are spending Christmas on 24-hour shifts, keeping all seven stations fully staffed and ready for any emergency while treating the firehouse as a second family. Leaders also announced that starting in March 2026, first responders will move from a 24/48 to a 24/72 schedule, giving them more rest between demanding shifts.
