ICYMI: 100 Naked Women Needed for Photo Shoot During the Republican National Convention, Volunteers Wanted
Republicans, Democrats and all other political parties are welcome to take part.
World Naked Gardening Day has come and gone. But another event featuring nakedness will be coming to Cleveland this summer, the same week as the Republican National Convention.
Photographer Spencer Tunick is planning a photo shoot during the GOP Convention in Cleveland, featuring 100 naked women. Tunick is looking for volunteers. Republicans, Democrats and all other political parties are welcome to take part.
His composition is designed to evoke the power and wisdom of women. There is growing criticism of the GOP's presumptive nominee, Donald Trump, and his statements about women.

Cleveland is familiar ground for Tunick. He shot his largest project in 2004: 2,754 people posing naked in downtown Cleveland in front of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame along the 9th Street Pier.
Tunick's art is about inclusion, participation and interactivity, according to his website. See spencertunickcleve.com for details about the event and what is required to volunteer.

"The photograph will involve 100 nude women holding large mirror discs, reflecting the knowledge and wisdom of progressive women and the concept of “Mother Nature” into and onto the convention center, cityscape and horizon of Cleveland. The philosophy of the artwork relates to the idea of the sacred feminine. By holding mirrors, we hope to suggest that women are a reflection and embodiment of nature, the sun, the sky and the land. We want to express the belief that we will rely upon the strength, intuition and wisdom of progressive and enlightened women to find our place in nature and to regain the balance within it. The mirrors communicate that we are a reflection of ourselves, each other, and of, the world that surrounds us. The woman becomes the future and the future becomes the woman."
