25-Year-Old Found Shot To Death In Crashed Car In Cleveland

On Monday night, a car crashed into a tree. When the driver was pulled from the vehicle, police learned he had been shot multiple times.

CLEVELAND — A man was found shot to death in a crashed car in Cleveland on Monday night, police announced.

At 9 p.m., officers were called to E. 114th Street and Harvard Avenue after a car hit a tree. When police arrived, EMS and firefighters were pulling an unidentified man out of the car.

The man had been shot multiple times, police said. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's office took possession of the man's body and worked to identify him. On Wednesday morning, they announced the man had been identified as Rashad Evans, 25.

The Cleveland police homicide unit took over the investigation into Evans' death. A person of interest has not yet been identified in the case.
