METRO CLEVELAND, OH — Cleveland State University is looking toward the future in a plan released Friday that would consolidate colleges and double enrollment.
Dubbed "CSU 2.0," the plan currently doesn't have a timeline on when it would be fully implemented, according to a report by Emily Bamforth with cleveland.com. Bamforth said the plan was nine months in the making for the university, and discussions and town hall meetings with the campus community are to be held in the coming weeks.
As part of its plan, the university is looking to reduce administrative costs by around $2 million. Consolidating its colleges from eight to six could potentially free up $1.6 million to $2.5 million by reducing the number of deans and administrators needed by the university.

A "Bitter Sweet" Single
When the pandemic hit, a local artist by the name of Dragaan was struggling to find work — so he took to his bedroom and started making music.
He released nine singles over the year including "Sugar Bug," which Cleveland Scene calls his most popular song among the bunch. Dragaan is now back with his latest single, "Bitter Sweet," which a news release says is about the relationships in his life and stems from "his encounters with stalker exes and random women on the internet."
