Dangerous Heat Possible Tuesday, Wednesday In Northern Ohio
Heat indices will climb into the 90s and 100s due to climbing temperatures and humidity.
OHIO — Northern Ohio will be gripped by extreme heat on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Heat indices could climb into the 90s and 100s over the next two days, the National Weather Service said. Tuesday afternoon will kick-start the heat wave, with dangerous conditions developing outside for anyone exposed long-term to the weather.
The heat index will likely be in the 90s on Tuesday afternoon in Northeast Ohio and will climb even higher on Wednesday.

"Heat indices in the mid to upper 90s to near 100 will be possible Wednesday afternoon, especially for northern Ohio. Heat indices in the 90s will be possible during the afternoon hours Thursday through Saturday," the National Weather Service said.
A heat advisory has been issued for Northwest Ohio, with high temperatures capable of causing illnesses among Ohioans.

"Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any circumstances," the National Weather Service.
If you have to work outside, try to schedule your activities for the evening or morning. Wear lightweight, lightly-colored clothing while outdoors. Whenever you can, take a break in air conditioning or in a shaded area.
