Explosives Found During Traffic Stop, 1 Arrested: Ohio Troopers

The investigation caused a portion of I-71 to be closed for several hours, multiple news outlets reported.

CLEVELAND, OH — Multiple news outlets confirm that a man has been taken into custody following a traffic stop which led to the discovery of explosives by troopers Friday morning.

According to WOIO, Wade L. Boone, of Cleveland, is facing multiple felony charges, including unlawful possession of a dangerous ordnance, improper handling of a firearm and having weapons while under disability.

A spokesperson for the Ohio State Highway Patrol told the TV station that Boone was pulled over along I-71 southbound for failure to display registration as well as a vehicle defect.

Boone has been booked into the Cuyahoga County Jail.
