Fatal Car Crash Kills 16-Year-Old In Cleveland
An SUV hit a fire hydrant and a utility pole on Sunday night, causing the death of a teenager.
CLEVELAND — A 16-year-old boy was killed in a car crash on Sunday evening, Cleveland police announced.
The 16-year-old was a passenger in a Honda SUV that swerved around another car before hitting a curb, slamming into a fire hydrant and then landing on a utility pole, police said.
The driver, a 20-year-old, was thrown from the SUV. Firefighters had to extricate the 16-year-old from the wreck. He was then taken to University Hospitals, where he was pronounced dead.

The 20-year-old was also taken to University Hospitals, where he is being treated for injuries to his face and head, police said.
Police are still investigating the crash.
