Overturn Roe Vs Wade, Ohio Attorney General Says In Brief
Ohio has joined a coalition of states asking for Roe vs Wade to be overturned.
COLUMBUS, OH — Ohio is joining a coalition of states seeking the overturning of Roe vs Wade, which made abortion legal in the United States.
Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost argued there is no constitutional protection for abortion rights. The brief, supported by Ohio and other states, was filed in a challenge to Mississippi law, which now bans abortions after 15 weeks.
"The jurisprudence of abortion has become like the 1960s fights over pornography — no one can say exactly what's allowed and what's not," Yost said. "It's like Justice Potter Stewart's definition of pornography: 'I know it when I see it.' It's time to end this failed experiment in judicial law-making and return the matter to the States."
