New downtown Cleveland parking rules are in effect (news5cleveland.com) — Newly updated parking rules and higher rates are now in effect across downtown Cleveland and Ohio City, changing how long and how much you can park on busy weekends and event nights. City officials say the goal is more turnover and access, while some residents and businesses are weighing the tradeoff between higher costs and better availability.
   

2. Cleveland woman attacks Garfield Heights woman in parking lot of Marshalls in Middleburg Heights (cleveland.com) — Police say a 23-year-old Cleveland woman is accused of assaulting a 22-year-old Garfield Heights woman outside the Marshalls on Southland Drive in Middleburg Heights. The victim later identified the suspect through social media and a photo lineup, and officers have issued a summons on an assault charge while still trying to reach her.
   

3. Cleveland man faces charges in armed robbery of US postal worker in Akron (wkyc.com) — Federal authorities say a Cleveland man is being held without bond for now after his arrest in connection with the armed robbery of a USPS mail carrier in Akron. Investigators tracked a stolen postal scanner to a Cleveland McDonald’s, where police chased a stolen SUV and captured the suspect, while at least one other person remains at large.
   

4. Charge Cut Down Nets in OT (nba.com) — Cleveland basketball fans saw a thriller at Public Hall as the Cleveland Charge edged the Long Island Nets 131-126 in overtime, powered by Sean McNeil’s career-high 28 points. The team now heads on a three-game road trip, while fans can follow every game on Cleveland’s Real 106.1 FM and the iHeartRadio app, plus team social channels.
