1. 1 in custody after woman was shot during carjacking in Cleveland (news5cleveland.com) — A woman is recovering after being shot in the face during a carjacking on Madison Avenue in Cleveland, and police say a 47-year-old suspect is now in custody at the Cuyahoga County Jail. Detectives quickly recovered her vehicle, identified the suspect, and arrested him on the city’s east side. The victim is in stable condition, and the child with her was not physically hurt.
   

2. Cleveland Museum of Natural History celebrates national, international recognition (news5cleveland.com) — Cleveland’s Museum of Natural History has just been named one of the world’s most beautiful museums by the Prix Versailles and ranked a Top 5 “Best New Museum” by USA Today. Museum leaders say it’s an ideal time to visit, with special events, behind-the-scenes tours, and unique shows like Coldplay for the Universe on the calendar.
   

3. Wanted man arrested & woman faces drug charges after traffic stop in Brook Park (cleveland.com) — Brook Park police say a routine traffic stop on Elm Avenue led to the arrest of a 38-year-old man from Cleveland who was wanted in Parma Heights. Officers also cited the Brook Park driver after a K-9 search turned up suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in their car. The woman now faces possible indictment depending on lab test results.
   

4. Cleveland Monsters score six in back-and-forth win over Charlotte Checkers (cleveland.com) — Cleveland hockey fans saw the Monsters notch a 6-3 home win over the Charlotte Checkers, capped by a shorthanded game-winner and late empty-netter. The victory at Rocket Arena boosts Cleveland’s record and keeps the team in North Division playoff contention ahead of Monday’s rematch.
