Powerball Jackpot is 15th Largest in History at $348 Million
The Powerball jackpot isn't yet where it was for January's record payout, but it's climbing.
It's happening again. The Powerball jackpot is taking flight, soaring up to $348 million. If someone gets lucky and matches all five numbers and the red "powerball," the cash payout would be $226.1 million.
The Powerball drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. local time.

The Ohio Lottery is one of 44 lotteries nationwide, plus the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, that participate in the Powerball drawing. Tickets can be purchased at any lottery vendor of more than 22,000 California Lottery retail locations.
Earlier this year Powerball fever reached new heights, when a billion dollar jackpot was on the line. On Jan. 13, three people finally won a $1,586,400,000 jackpot after it rolled 19 times, Lottery officials say.
