Severe Thunderstorms Possible Friday Evening In Northern Ohio
Flash flooding is also possible in parts of Northeast Ohio, the National Weather Service warned.
OHIO — Severe thunderstorms are possible Friday evening in northern Ohio, the National Weather Service warned.
Storms could develop Friday afternoon and evening, and some of the storms could be strong to severe, forecasts said. There is a 70-percent chance of thunderstorms overnight, with most dissipating after 1 a.m.
"Damaging winds will be the primary weather hazard with the best chance east of I-71. Heavy rain
could also produce localized flash flooding," the National Weather Service said.

Following Friday night's thunderstorms, temperatures should drop into the mid-70s on Saturday, cooling off northern Ohio after a week of 90-degree temperatures and heat indices in the 100s. Temperatures will remain in the 70s and 60s throughout the weekend and inclement weather is unlikely.
