Severe Weather Closes the Cedar Point Causeway, Park to Close Early [PHOTOS]

Severe weather created a hazard on the Cedar Point Causeway partial power outage at Cedar Point

Storm damage knocked down telephone poles and power lines causing the Cedar Point Causeway to close Sunday afternoon.

Cedar Point spokesman, Tony Clark, told fox8news that Ohio Edison and local authorities were assessing the damage and have been working to repair the lines as soon as possible.

The Erie County Sheriff's Office and Sandusky Police have both reported downed power lines. Many are without power, including Cedar Point Amusement Park which announced on Twiiter that the park would be closing early at 7 p.m. Sunday night. Long lines at Cedar Point customer service have been reported on social media.
