Armed Robbers Flee Empty-Handed

A 37-year-old man said two men tried to rob him at gunpoint while he waiting at a bus stop near the intersection of Mayfield and Superior at 9:06 p.m. July 3.

Both suspects approached him and brandished handguns, according to police. The victim raised his hands, began backing up toward the street so passing cars could see him, and begged the gunmen not to shoot him.

The suspects fled, empty-handed.
