UPDATE: Gearity Principal Says Goodbye To Families
Gearity Professional Development School Principal Sherry Miller said in a letter to families that she has accepted a job with the Beachwood City Schools. The Beachwood board is expected to approve her hire today.

The principal of sent a letter to families Thursday announcing that she was leaving to pursue a job with the Beachwood City Schools.
The Beachwood City Schools Board of Education is expected to approve the staff's recommendation that the Gearity principal, Sherry Miller, be the next principal of at a special meeting Friday morning.

"While it is not easy for me to leave Gearity, I leave knowing that we have accomplished a great deal together," wrote Miller, who has been principal of Gearity since 2004. "I am extremely proud of our strong and caring family, devoted to our students. We are lucky to have dedicated teachers who are prepared to successfully implement a STEM/Discovery pathway this fall."
Angee Shaker, communications director for the Cleveland Heights-University Heights City School District, said Miller contacted the Gearity staff Thursday to tell them she had accepted another job.

If her hire is approved by the board, Miller will replace Michael Molnar, who that he had accepted a job in Lorain County.
