Solon, Ohio.
What I like most about the CH-UH community is their commitment. The CH-UH community is comprised of individuals who grew up here and returned to raise a family here. It is filled with rich heritage and traditions.

What community and civic organizations are you currently involved in?
I am a member of Providence Baptist Church, I volunteer on several committees within the Solon Middle School PTA, and I am a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
What drew you to become an educator and what do you find most interesting about the work you do?
I decided to become an educator my senior year in high school. All four years in high school I had the same math teacher, and he was a wonderful teacher. He was my inspiration to become an educator. What I find most interesting about the work I do is how the really small things can have the greatest impact.
What personal and professional accomplishments are you most proud of?
The personal and professional accomplishment I am most proud of is my education. In my personal life my education has inspired others to work hard and not give up on their dreams; and in my professional life my education has allowed me to understand and define myself as a leader.
I know you don't start until August, but what are some of your goals when entering a new role at a school? Are there any programs/initiatives you'd like to implement at Fairfax?
The goals I have for are aligned with the district goals. Fairfax will be transitioning into an International Baccalaureate (IB) School and through that process I will be supporting and reinforcing a culture of collaboration, continuing to use data effectively for strategic action, and ensuring access to global content and the development of 21st Century competencies.
What is something you'd like parents and students to know about you?
I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the Fairfax Community. My door is always open and I am looking forward to working very closely with the staff, students, parents, and the community as a whole.
What do you most look forward to in your new role at Fairfax? What are you most excited about?
I am most excited about the first day for students. I am looking forward to seeing all the smiling faces that will be excited about the opportunities for learning that await them.
Tell me something that people may not know about you.
Something about me that people may not know is if I could, I would eat chocolate cake for dinner every night.
Andrett Calloway and new Gearity principal Michele Evans will meet with families during a meet and greet event in August. We'll announce the date once it's confirmed.
