Police Looking For Gunman Who Robbed Dollar General

Cleveland Heights Police are looking for the man who used a gun to rob the Dollar General on Lee Road last week.

At about 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 13, a man put entered the store, put a gun to an employee's head and started making demands.

He told nobody to move, called for a manager and demanded money.

Witnesses described him as a light-skinned black man that was 18 to 20 years old.

He had a slender build and was between six feet and six feet, three inches tall.

He had a tattoo underneath his right eye and either another tattoo -- perhaps of a bar code -- or a bruise beneath his left eye.

After the manager gave him money, he left the store.

A Cleveland Heights police officer spotted a man who fit the robber's description -- even seeing a handgun in his hand -- soon thereafter on Cedar Road.

The officer tried to arrest him but the man ran away on foot.
