Ohio Connections Academy Recognizes Beavercreek Student

COLUMBUS, OH (May 2, 2024) – Christian Eberle, of Beavercreek, was recently named one of Ohio Connections Academy’s (OCA) Star Students of the Month for May in recognition of his hard work and leadership in the online classroom.

Christian, a fourth grader at the statewide online public charter school, was nominated by his teacher, Mrs. Horvath, because of the outstanding effort he put into transitioning to the virtual classroom.

As a Star Student, Christian will be presented with a certificate recognizing his achievement and be profiled in Ohio Connections Academy’s student newsletter and on the school’s social media platforms. Each month during the school year OCA will recognize students in grades K through 12 who are excelling in the virtual classroom.

Christian enrolled in Ohio Connections Academy earlier this semester to be in a learning environment where he could work at his own pace with the one-on-one teacher support he needs. He said his teachers have been very helpful all semester to make sure he was able to make the transition to the virtual classroom.

“Working at my pace is great. If I have trouble with a topic, I can spend more time to make sure I understand it,” Christian said. “I love Connections Academy because all my teachers are awesome. They really want you to be the best you can be.”

Virtual school is a great fit for a variety of students and each student is unique.
