Ohio Connections Academy Recognizes Dayton Student

COLUMBUS, OH – Mohammad Hamdan, of Dayton, was recently named one of Ohio Connections Academy’s (OCA) Star Students of the Month for March in recognition of his hard work and leadership in the online classroom.

Mohammad, a sophomore at the statewide online public charter school, was nominated by his Geometry teacher, Ms. Tackett, because of his outstanding work ethic and determination to succeed in class.

As a Star Student, Mohammad will be presented a certificate recognizing his achievement and be profiled in Ohio Connections Academy’s student newsletter and on the school’s social media platforms. Each month during the school year OCA will recognize students in grades K through 12 who are excelling in the virtual classroom.

Mohammad came to Ohio Connections Academy in 2018 because his family considered it among the best online schools in America – and he as loved everything about it. According to Mohammed, he has always liked his Ohio Connections Academy teachers because he felt he could reach out to them and ask questions whenever he needed.

"What I like most about Connections Academy is the fact that all of my teachers are very kind, and they cover all of the subjects very well," Mohammed said.
