"Even though she excels above most with her academic and musical talent, she is a kind and helpful person."

Marietta, OH — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?
Alexis is highly intelligent and a talented musician. She will be graduating MHS with a 4.0 and will be attending Yale University beginning in June. She is a big part of the choir program. She is in both Treble and Cantable choirs, and Vocal Point, the school’s accapella group. Alexis has had lead roles in the last three school musicals. She was Cinderella, Ms. Honey in Matilde, and Anastasia. Alexis was appointed the first ever choir president as she is a solid yet kind leader. The younger students look up to her and both take her advise and follow her lead. Now she is guiding younger students on what classes they should take to successfully move from HS to college.
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?
