1. Several individuals were hospitalized following a two-vehicle accident on Ohio 7, which resulted in the closure of the road for approximately 30 minutes on Tuesday. The collision occurred when a red Dodge Caravan attempted to make a left turn and collided head-on with a southbound black GMC Acadia. One passenger, Betty Stimpert, 76, was ejected from the Caravan and is in critical condition, while others sustained minor injuries. The 17-year-old driver of the Caravan received a citation for failing to yield. (Marietta Times)
2. Marietta Main Street is aiming to make Second Sunday on Jun. 11 more accessible for everyone, including seniors. The event will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and this year, Marietta Main Street is making it easier to travel downtown for seniors. Wheelchair-accessible shuttle loops will be at multiple locations to get on and off at each stop with ease. (WTAP)
3. "The Play That Goes Wrong" will be performed at the nearby Actors Guild of Parkersburg in West Virginia starting on Jun. 16. The play is a hilarious comedy filled with mishaps and absurdities. Director Josh Martin, inspired by the show's success in New York, has assembled a talented cast and crew to bring the British-style humor and intricate set design to life on the local stage.
