- A police chase that started in Washington County on Tuesday ended in Parkersburg around 9:00 p.m. that evening. The Washington County Sheriff's Office attempted to conduct a traffic stop when a driver hit a concrete retainer and continued driving. The chase eventually ended on Garfield Avenue in front of WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center, where the driver was going in the wrong direction. (WTAP)
- The City of Marietta has received a $10 million grant to update its water treatment plant. Marietta Mayor Josh Schlicher said, "This new plant will actually purify the water so much that they will have to add more into it to put it out to the people." The project is expected to be completed in 2025. (WTAP)
- Michelle Curtis has been named the new executive director of The Arc of the Mid-Ohio Valley. Having worked at The Arc for over 15 years, Curtis said, "I’m pleased and proud to help The Arc meet the needs of people with developmental disabilities in our community." Curtis replaces Liz Ford, who announced she was leaving the organization in October. (Subscription: Marietta Times)
