  1. City officials in Marietta issued a water boil advisory on Friday, Jun. 9, for residents on Merryhill Street, Marigold Lane, and Hickory Lane, whose service was interrupted due to an emergency water main break. The City recommends that residents in targeted areas boil water for one to two minutes prior to consumption. You can learn more information here. (WTAP)
  2. Habitat for Humanity of the Mid-Ohio Valley Executive Director Alvin Phillips is retiring, with Resource Development Director Robin Stewart tapped to succeed him. Phillips and his wife plan to move to Charlotte, NC to be closer to their family, and Phillips will be staying on with Habitat for Humanity through to the end of the year to ease the transition period. Stewart will officially be the new Executive Director come July of next year. (Marietta Times)
  3. The city held its final public open house on the proposed active transportation plan Thursday, Jun. 8. The plan is meant to set expectations for city personnel, contractors, and residents, regarding non-vehicular transportation projects for the following five years or more. Anyone who was unable to make it to the second meeting is invited to contribute via a survey. (WTAP)
