- Nearby Parkersburg, West Virginia, police are asking for the public to help find Brian Bradley Wright. Wright is currently wanted in connection to an arrest warrant for felony grand larceny. Wright allegedly committed felony grand larceny last month, and is homeless, but is believed to still be in the local area by police. Local area residents are asked to call 911 immediately if they see Wright or have any information on his whereabouts. (WTAP)
- Grayson Goodwin, 13, and Colton Baker, 12, have won first place in separate Ohio state fishing tournaments, qualifying them to compete in the national and world championship events later this year. Both Goodwin and Baker are Marietta natives, hailing from Fort Frye and Marietta middle schools, respectively. (Marietta Times)
- Join the Artsbridge Summer Music Series at City Park for their opening day today, Jun. 1, featuring a performance by Jim Forshey, an acclaimed Elvis Presley tribute artist from the Mid-Ohio Valley. Having followed in his father's footsteps, Forshey's talent and love for Elvis began to attract a growing fanbase, leading to performances in various venues across Ohio and West Virginia. The concert, sponsored by Peoples Bank, will honor Lulu Bell James, a devoted music series attendee, and donations will be collected by Artsbridge, with alternative arrangements in case of rain.
