Here are the top three stories in Toledo today:

  1. Three people were injured Monday evening in separate events beginning at 5:00 p.m. First, Adam Garret was shot in front of his home on Eleanor Ave; then, a teen – whose identity has not been released – was shot around 7:45 p.m. on Royalton Road; both in West Toledo. The last shooting took place in Central Toledo on Rosedale Street when 30-year-old Nathaniel Lewis was shot out front of his home by someone firing multiple rounds inside a black SUV. The investigations are ongoing, and none of the victims' injuries are life-threatening. (Toledo Blade)
  2. A missing Toledo woman has been found safe. Yesterday afternoon the Toledo Police Department reported that 28-year-old Samantha Lannen had been found safe after disappearing on Jul. 5. Lannen was previously last seen after visiting her mother on Swan Creek Drive with her children. (WTOL)
  3. East Toledo resident Nino Barron, 50, was charged with assault on a police officer on Friday. Officials believe Barron was attempting to steal a catalytic converter when caught by the officer and attempted to drive away, hitting and trapping the Toledo Police officer. The police officer was injured, and Barron is being held on a $20,000 bond. (WTOL)
