Huron Yards Takes Shape in Toledo's Warehouse District (toledocitypaper.com) — Huron Yards is transforming Toledo’s Warehouse District with a multi-phase, live-work-play development between Huron, Erie, Monroe, and Washington streets. Local firm Crane Development has finished The Produce Lofts and is now adding a beer garden, a new restaurant called The Station, and a grocery store, aiming to bring more residents and everyday amenities downtown.
   

2. Toledo marks 37th homicide of the year as restaurant mourns teen employee ahead of holidays (wtol.com) — Toledo has reached 37 homicides this year, matching last year’s total, with local restaurant Doc Watson’s mourning 19-year-old employee Jasmine Queen after a fatal shooting near Hill and Reynolds. Police say most city homicides involved gunfire and many victims and suspects are teenagers, while coworkers plan a memorial fund to honor Queen as the holidays approach.
   

3. Ohio Innovation Trail Puts Northwest Ohio in the Spotlight (wktn.com) — Northwest Ohio is getting statewide attention as the new Ohio Innovation Trail highlights stops like the Toledo Museum of Art and Imagination Station in Toledo. The trail strings together more than 80 innovation-themed sites, from museums to factories, giving Toledo-area residents a fresh roadmap for day trips and educational outings across the region.
   

4. Toledo man accused of assaulting teenagers, holding family who was trying to flee (cleveland19.com) — A Toledo man has been indicted in Lucas County on multiple serious charges after authorities say he prevented a mother and her children from leaving an apartment and assaulted several teenagers. Prosecutors allege he used threats involving a pistol and has prior domestic violence convictions. He’s expected to appear in Lucas County Common Pleas Court in the coming days.
