City officials and the Lucas County Land Bank are pursuing over $200 million in building rehab plus a $40 million corridor upgrade, relying heavily on tax credits, grants, and city investment to phase construction over the next decade.

Ohio gubernatorial candidate visits striking workers at Libbey Glass picket line (wtol.com) — Striking workers at Libbey Glass’s north Toledo plant are still holding the picket line nearly four months in, as winter sets in and contract talks slowly progress. Ohio gubernatorial candidate Dr. Amy Acton visited Thursday, invited by Toledo State Rep. Michele Grim, to hear workers’ concerns about pay, inflation, and corporate leadership while joining them in chants of solidarity.
   

5. Toledo auto repair shop at center of I-TEAM investigation closes (13abc.com) — A controversial auto repair shop on Airport Highway in Toledo has apparently shut down, with its building now cleared of vehicles and equipment. After months of customer complaints and an I-TEAM investigation into its accident-related towing practices, officials are reminding Toledo drivers to double-check who’s calling after a crash and to choose their own repair shop to avoid confusion and unexpected fees.
