Here are the top four stories today in Toledo:
- A shooting took place early yesterday morning at the Bucks Rack City club on Telegraph Road in West Toledo. The shooting took place around 3:45 a.m. and two men were shot and taken to the hospital. As of Sunday afternoon, there was no update on the conditions of the men. (WTOL)
- A Monroe County robbery suspect was arrested in Toledo on Saturday. Police received a tip of the man's identity after she robbed a credit union early Friday evening, which led to his arrest at a home in Toledo. The man was lodged at the Lucas County Jail. (WDIV ClickOnDetroit)
- COVID-19 cases on the rise led to Lucas County being pushed into the red designation. Last week, the county's confirmed cases surpassed 200 and the new hospitalizations rate was 16.9 which caused the red designation. This time last year, the county was seeing 8,000 new confirmed cases every day. (WTOL)
- Toledo held a naturalization ceremony on Friday where 41 people gained citizenship. A total of 21 countries were represented by the group that officially became U.S. citizens. Russian-born Natalia Zamkov said, "Twelve years ago I wouldn't have even imagined being like an American citizen." (WNWO NBC 24)
