It is that time of year in which you may see a lot of brackets, pitting two things against each other in a knock-out style competition. Sometimes it is teams playing against each other to see who is the best, I am looking at you basketball, and other times it can be a way to place value on the things that you participate in or like.

If you are anything like me, you decided to participate in the 2022 YSU English Festival. The YSU English Festival presents a set list of reading materials that range in genre and subject matter, with diverse characters and topics.

If you have started to read the selections for your particular grade, then you may already have some favorites; I know that I do!

But what would happen if you had to pick an overall favorite?

Would it be easy or difficult?

Which book would win?

Check out this Bracket below and pick your winner!

Hello everyone! I’m Amy and I am a Youth Services Librarian at the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County. When I’m not trying to reach my reading goal for the year, I like to talk about what I’m reading to my family, friends, and coworkers. You could say I am a little obsessed with reading Young Adult books. I enjoy most genres, but my favorites include: Westerns, Historical Fiction, Contemporary, Fantasy, and Mystery. I am always looking for the next great book that makes me connect to its characters and hits me in the feels.
