1 Hurt In Shooting Under Broadway Bridge, Police Say

Police searched the area following the shooting but have not located the suspect. The victim, police said, should survive.

PORTLAND, OR — Police investigating a shooting underneath the west end of Broadway Bridge Monday have not found the suspect, officials said this afternoon.

Central precinct officers were dispatched to Northwest Naito Parkway at 9:45 a.m. March 19 following reports of a shooting under the Broadway Bridge.

A single male victim with a serious but non-life-threatening wound was found and taken to hospital.

Police searched the area, including Old Town, using a K9 team, but so far the suspect remains at large. However, police do not believe there is any immediate danger to the general public.
