PORTLAND, OR — A woman was killed in a three-car crash on Northeast Marine Drive Tuesday morning, Portland police announced this afternoon. The woman remains unidentified pending next of kin notification.
Portland Police Bureau officers were dispatched just after 9:45 a.m. Aug. 28 to the intersection of Northeast Marine Drive and Northeast 122nd Avenue, where a semi-truck, GMC van, and Honda Passport had collided.
As emergency responders arrived on scene and began treating the wounded drivers involved, they found the driver of the GMC van, a woman, had died, officials said, noting the people in the semi-truck and Honda did not require a ride to hospital.

A crash investigation revealed the semi-truck was traveling east on Marine Drive as the GMC van was turning west onto Marine Drive from the northbound lanes of Northeast 122nd Avenue. At the same time, the Honda was stopped in the turning lane from westbound Marine Drive to southbound 122nd Avenue.
The semi-truck, investigators said, hit the GMC van and pushed it into the stopped Honda. Police officials did not say any arrests had been made or were pending.
