1 Pound Of Ecstasy Seized During Arrest In Portland

When he was arrested Sunday morning, Toren Flom allegedly had in his possession and at his home more than 500 grams of MDMA.

PORTLAND, OR — One person was arrested after driving his car into an occupied Portland Police Bureau K9 unit vehicle on Sunday. The incident occurred during a Drugs and Vice Division investigation in Southeast Portland, which ultimately netted more than 1 pound of MDMA (3,4-Methylenedioxymethamphetamine) — also known as Ecstasy or Molly.

Toren Paul Flom, 25, was taken to Multnomah County Jail following his arrest. He is charged with possession and delivery of MDMA, attempting to elude a police officer, and reckless driving. He has since been released on his own recognizance.

Drugs and Vice officers spotted Flom just before 7:30 a.m. July 15 in the parking lot of the Jack in the Box restaurant at 921 S.E. Powell Blvd., where they were conducting a narcotics investigation.

When PPB officers pulled into the parking lot, Flom reportedly tried to flee but instead crashed his car into an occupied police cruiser. Flom, the officer, and his K9 partner were unhurt in the crash.

Flom was arrested afterward within additional incident.

Following Flom's arrest, officers reportedly found 458 grams of MDMA in Flom's car. This led their investigation back to Flom's home in Gladstone, where they discovered an additional 115 grams of MDMA.

All told, the Ecstasy seized on Sunday is reportedly worth around $45,000.

Flom's arraignment is scheduled for Monday. He was previously convicted for delivering methamphetamine in Clackamas County in 2013.
