2 Firefighters Injured In Portland House Fire

PORTLAND, OR -- Two firefighters were injured Saturday when they responded to a blaze at a Portland house. The fire was reported around 5 a.m. in the 2400 block of 89th Avenue, fire officials said.
The fire engulfed the garage and front of the house before collapsing onto two firefighters. Both firefighters were transported to an area hospital where they were treated for minor injuries, officials said.

Fire officials said crews also had to work around power lines to extinguish the blaze.
No one was home at the time of the fire and a fire investigator was on scene to determine a cause and damage assessment, officials said.
