2 Men Arrested In Connection With Shooting Incident: Police
Christopher Carhart and Fontaine Adams were arrested May 11 after police were dispatched to a reported shooting at Glendoveer Estates.

PORTLAND, OR — Two men were arrested last Friday in connection with a shooting incident at an apartment complex in Northeast Portland.
Christopher Charles Carhart, 25, and Fontaine Lamont Adams, 37, were taken to Multnomah County Jail following their arrests. Carhart is charged with a restraining order violation and Adams is charged with a parole violation. However, according to police, additional charges for both men are likely.

Portland police were initially dispatched to reports of gunfire at the Glendoveer Estates Apartments at 601 N.E. 162nd Ave. around 10:45 p.m. May 11.

Multiple calls to 911 from apartment residents reportedly described loud arguing in the parking lot following the sounds of gunfire.
Witnesses directed responding officers to the owner of a white Honda Civic that was still in the parking lot and described a maroon Chevrolet Caprice that was seen leaving the parking lot immediately after the shooting. As some officers spoke to the owner of the Honda, others searched for the missing Chevy.

While speaking with Carhart, the Honda's owner, officers discovered evidence of gunfire inside the vehicle, police said. Carhart was arrested without incident.
Officers searching the area located the Chevrolet Caprice near Northeast Halsey Street and Northeast 148th Avenue, roughly 1 mile west of the apartment complex where the shooting reportedly occurred.
After stopping the Chevy, and while speaking its occupants, officers discovered a handgun and arrested Adams on a violation warrant related to a previous cocaine delivery conviction, police said.

Adams also has previous convictions for assault and several dismissed charges for harassment, menacing, and burglary.
Carhart was arrested for assault earlier this year, but his charges were also dismissed.
The Bureau's Gang Enforcement Team is reportedly investigating the shooting.
Anyone who witnessed the shooting or who may have video footage of the incident is asked to call the Gang Enforcement Team at 503-823-4106.
