2 Minors Arrested For Cannabis Shop Theft: Police
The minors reportedly crashed their getaway car into a tree shortly after the theft in Southeast Portland.

PORTLAND, OR — Police on Sunday arrested two minors who crashed their car into a tree while trying to flee the scene of a theft at a cannabis shop in Southeast Portland. A gun was reportedly found in the car after the crash, but Portland police officials do not believe the weapon was used as part of the theft.
The underage suspects are accused of taking cannabis from a shop in the 7400-block of Southeast 52nd Avenue. Shortly after the suspected thieves drove away, they crashed into a tree in the front yard of a home in the 7400-block of Southeast 48th Avenue, less than four blocks from the cannabis shop.
Both juveniles reportedly sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the crash and were taken to hospital for treatment. Police found the gun during a search of the car after the crash.

The juveniles will not be identified, in accordance with Oregon law, police officials said.
