Tuesday's Bank Robber Identified As Same Person; Police Seek Tips

PORTLAND, OR — Portland police on Wednesday confirmed the two bank robberies that occurred between 3 and 4 p.m. Tuesday were in fact perpetrated by the same individual.
Investigators on Feb. 7 released surveillance images from both banks where the robberies took place, roughly 10 miles apart on Portland's north and southeast sides.
Central Precinct officers were dispatched to the first robbery at the U.S. Bank at 1225 S.E. Cesar E. Chavez Blvd. just after 3 p.m. Feb. 6.

Roughly 40 minutes later, just before 4 p.m., North Precinct officers were dispatched to the KeyBank at 6815 N. Lombard St. for another reported robbery.
In both incidents, the suspect gave bank tellers a note demanding money before obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash and leaving without incident.

Searches of both areas after the robberies came up empty-handed, police said.
The suspect is described as a white man with olive skin, between 25 and 35 years old, roughly 6 feet tall and skinny, with dark hair and dark-rimmed glasses.
